Let each one of us make a promise, that as long as we live, we will be good citizens of our country in the best of our capabilities and we will help America grow into a better nation with each passing day.Factoid: Which president was the first to hold a Fourth of July celebration at the White House?Although John Adams was the first president to occupy the executive mansion, it was Thomas Jefferson who established the traditions of a July 4th celebration at the White House or President's House as it was called in his time.We hope everyone has a safe and rewarding 4th of July!

Happy Independence Day from VASEY!

As we celebrate our freedom, let us not forget to thank all those who have fought for this country to give us this day. When was the First 4th of July? On July 8, 1776, the first public readings of the Declaration were held in Philadelphia’s Independence Square to the ringing of bells and band music. One year later, on July 4, 1777, Philadelphia marked Independence Day by adjourning Congress and celebrating with bonfires, bells and fireworks. Have a glorious and safe 4th of July Holiday!

We are the land of the free, we are the home of the brave. Let's pay tribute to our brave American Heroes on this special day and forever. Factoid: Who came up with the 4th of July as a holiday? On July 4th, the Continental Congress formally adopted the Declaration of Independence, which had been written largely by Thomas Jefferson. Though the vote for actual independence took place on July 2nd, from then on, the 4th became the day that was celebrated as the birth of American independence. We hope everyone has a safe and rewarding 4th of July!
