What is Hydro Jetting?

Hydro jetting. No, it’s not a slang term for water skiing. But if you’re not in the industry, it might be a new term for you. Hydro jetting – think power washing only at much higher pressures. This is a method VASEY uses to clean clogged or slow sewage lines. Jetting can remove accumulated contamination and dirt buildup on surfaces as well as blockages within pipes using high-velocity water pressure through a jet nozzle.

Why Hydro Jet?

Hydro Jetting cleans the accumulation of sludge, grease, mineral build-up, hair, and other debris trapped inside your drainpipes. All of which can lead to sewer clogs. Over time, it is more economical as the effects last longer than your favorite jelly-like bottle of clog remover.

Wouldn’t you like the water to drain in your commercial kitchens’ drains and pipes? Not to mention that pungent smell radiating from your bathrooms, odeur d’égout. That’s French for sewer odor. We knew you wanted to learn something new! Regardless, unpleasant odors are not conducive to a good customer experience. Put your best foot forward by inspecting your facilities for the sign of slow-moving drains.

Look for the following warning signs showing hydro jetting may be necessary:

  • Slow or non-draining pipes
  • Noisy drainpipes – whistling, gurgling, or screeching
  • Smelly bathroom or kitchen drains
  • Older, deteriorating pipes

Keep everyone happier. Don’t put off maintaining your property or the consequences can be disastrous. Better yet, establish a preventative maintenance program to extend the life of your equipment. Give VASEY a call (24/7/365) at 317.873.2512 or visit our website at www.VASEY.com.
