On January 12, 2024, a dedicated team from VASEY actively participated in helping their neighbor, the Zionsville Food Pantry and Distribution Center, unload and organize a staggering 10,500 pounds of food into the pantry's new cold storage area. Founded by the Zionsville Presbyterian Church (ZPC), the Zionsville Food Pantry operates as one of the few food pantries available in Boone County. Managed and organized by volunteers, the pantry plays a vital role in feeding more than a hundred families every week. The VASEY team's involvement goes beyond a single event, as they had previously contributed by assembling the pantry's new walk-in refrigerator and freezer late last year. The impact of VASEY's efforts is appreciable, as expressed by Catherine Coscia, a member of the Leadership Team [...]

By |2024-01-14T08:46:07-05:00February 3rd, 2021|Categories: Community Service|Tags: , , , , |

Last month, VASEY volunteered at the Zionsville Food Pantry Distribution Center (housed by the Zionsville Presbyterian Church at 4775 W. 116th Street) to help unload more than 16,000 lb. of food in 48 minutes. But that isn’t true. Many of our neighbors suffer from food insecurity. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) defines food insecurity as a lack of consistent access to enough food to sustain an [...]

Finish Line is a long-time customer of VASEY. One reason both our organizations believe in giving back and making a positive impact on our community. We helped support the Finish Line Youth Foundation (Special Olympics) and attended their annual Fundraising dinner, An Epic Evening, last fall at the Biltwell Event Center, featuring Carli Lloyd as our keynote speaker. Carli Lloyd, an American soccer player (two-time Olympic gold medalist, two-time FIFA Women's World Cup champion, two-time FIFA Player of the Year, and a three-time Olympian) shared the power of soccer in developing her perseverance, unmatched focus, commitment to the game, and ultimately to embracing the journey. Congratulations to Team CrossFit Kokomo, who placed third out of 36 teams at the 2019 Strength in Our Streets (SIOS) fundraiser on June 22, 2019. VASEY’s very own Laura Conkle (Maintenance Sales Representative), trained for and participated in the day-long, 100 percent volunteer-driven, event held at Park Tudor School - Indianapolis. Pertaining to fundraising dollars, CrossFit Kokomo placed second, raising $8,665 – almost three times their goal. All proceeds benefitted the work of Wheeler Mission, Outreach and the community’s homeless and addicted. CrossFit athletes are ready, willing, and able to stand up for those less fortunate – more importantly, to encourage them to NEVER GIVE UP! In just six years, athletes have raised more than $570,000 through Strength in Our Streets to help Indiana's homeless [...]

VASEY, a long-time partner of University High School, takes care of their campus’s mechanical needs. "When we found out the Trailblazers were going to the Baseball State Championship, we wanted to find a unique way to show our support," stated David Sheffield, Vasey’s Chief Financial Officer. What could be a better way to show their support? VASEY supplied two suites at Victory Field for the Trailblazer team’s school administration, their parents and immediate family. "It was important to us that they enjoy the game in comfort and style," added Sheffield. "We were glad to share in the team spirit!" [...]
